Inspiration in Art Journaling

These are just a few of the hilarious things my son says throughout the day.  I've finally found a way to capture these memories through my love of art journaling!

Go visit Rhythm of the Home today and see a new piece I wrote called, Capturing Your Mothering Memories Through Art Journaling.  I give you some tips on how to get started.  Then stay a while and explore this beautiful, inspirational on-line magazine.  Psst...there's a giveaway, too!

Happy, funny, creative day to each of you!

  1. Those are too darn cute and hilarious. What a great way to keep those sayings. I have been writing them down in my calendar, but art journaling much more fun! Be well, Angela
PS I adore Rhythm of the Home and I look forward to reading your piece and using your tips. ;)

  2. Great article! I have had so many of those wonderful and spontaneous moments. I always think, "I'll have to write that down sometime." Silly me! Waiting does not allow the time to magically appear and it certainly doesn't help this mom's brain to remember the moments or words. Write them now! Before you forget ;0)

  4. Those are wonderful Shannon. Now, as a grandmother, I still like writing down those funny comments. Like...."Why doesn't cooper wear shoes?" (my dog!) I started a "Nana" journal book. And, so it goes.....

  7. They are hilarious!!!
I wish I'd journaled my kids cute thoughts and sayings. My boy turned 19 today so I just have to rely on my memories.

  8. This is such a great idea. The other day my son said about my daughter who was crying in the back seat, "She wasn't crying because the sun was in her eyes, she was crying because she wanted to be in the shade." I just thought that was so sweet. This art journal is a perfect idea for these type of things. Many thanks!!
